Part 3

Late January, 2001

As all material is sucked into the black hole, so must one day the black hole explode into productivity. Though we did not know it at the time, this would be the dawn of the First Golden Age of the World, with editorial inspiration granted every day and content updates every couple of weeks- and a significant number of people actually reading the published work. New Gates from Kruk, Questions for Phil, Family Info, and the ever idyllic Previews section all saw new content.
February 27, 2001

Lee & Family move from their dingy smokeshack at the end of Tribet Place to a farther away suburb, eventually settling in Lansdale. This would prove a joyous day for us, as eventually the continual spurning (which did not discourage Lee from making the 1 mile trek from Colwyn) made the half-hour, 15 dollar train ride from  Lansdale an unreasonable proposition, even with rumored encouragement from the inside.
March 6, 2001

The longest running and most-viewed technical error in the World, the word "refrigerater," is corrected on the front page. Readership increases dramatically, as the site no longer greets viewers with a misspelling. Rest in peace, refrigerater. Phil is given his "blurb" page, in which he would string together several sentences of thought.
April, June 2001

Work starts on the game "Fall of Lee." Beta Demo is released in June. Real demo is promised and will be released soon, that is to say almost two years later. Maybe.
August 2001

First Omen of the Apocalypse: a full month without an update. Second Omen: During the "proud month" of August, Angelfire tears down the demo to Fall of Lee.
September 11, 2001

Third Omen of the Apocalypse: The World Trade Center is destroyed. The World gets its own URL, www.leestuff.com. Matt and HitNRun exchange Update Blows over the importance of this development.
October 2001

Lee writes the largest, most disgusting piece of content ever published at the World. Dave also rediscovers the Wonder Years of Comedy by prank calling the majority of the United States, posing as Hogan. The Omens are all but forgotten and the First Golden Age of the World's last days pass idyllically, in an incredible time of production.

Early December 2001

The World Staff, now confident and blissfully ambitious, gears up to try for another Christmas Bonanza.

Dave discovers Lee's Email Password.

Mid December 2001

Dave shares the password with his sister in exchange for some freshly baked cookies and/or brownies. Dave and said sister spend the next 168 hours (1 week) on Lee's AOL account, alternating shifts to get ample sleep. During this time, emails are sent to all Lee's friends suggesting that his stepfather is Hulk Hogan and including "proof," i.e. a link to the World.
Late December 2001

Dave and Lil' Sis' marathon provocation festival result in the inevitable, as Lee finally manages to get online between Dave Emailing Shifts, and is made aware of the situation by his friends. The super-vulnerable Angelfire site is completely destroyed with a simple report, due to its questionable content.
